With support from the City of Evanston and Ascension St. Francis Hospital, Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center is moving forward with plans to bring its celebrated Living Room program to the Evanston community.
On March 28, 2022, the Evanston City Council unanimously approved $900,000 in federal COVID rescue funding to establish a Living Room location near Ascension St. Francis Hospital, operated by Turning Point and supported by partnerships with colleague organizations. Two key organizations collaborating with Turning Point at this new location to provide substance use and employment support will be PEER Services and Impact Behavioral Health Partners.
“The Living Room program has shown itself to be an invaluable resource for adults in crisis.” said Turning Point CEO Ann Fisher Raney, “We are grateful to the City of Evanston, to Ascension St. Francis Hospital, and to our partners and community for making this expansion possible. We look forward to bringing this life-saving program to Evanston and to working collaboratively to best serve the Evanston community.”
