With the generous support of the Skokie Community Foundation, Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center and Skokie Public Library have launched a collaborative program for teens entitled Let’s Talk About It.
Once a month for nine months in 2018, this free drop-in program is being held at Skokie Public Library for grades 6 – 12.
Created as a forum in which teens can ask questions about mental health and learn about resources available in their community, this program features an expert panel including a Turning Point therapist and Skokie Public Library staff. Questions can be raised in person or submitted anonymously online before the event. Teens who have attended the hour-long discussion can then stay afterwards for a make-your-own taco bar.
The next session of Let’s Talk About It is scheduled for Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. The program takes place at Skokie Public Library, 5215 Oakton Street in Skokie, in the Radmacher Room.
