Introducing our new sensory room!

A calming space for children and teens

We are so grateful for the support of the EA Foundation in supporting our care for children and adolescents and helping us create a beautiful, interactive sensory room for our young clients.

This room now provides a soothing environment that engages the senses and is grounding and de-escalating for children and teens. Designed with calming colors and nature-based images, the space features sounds of nature, a projector that transforms the room into a soothing starscape, and a sensory-rich environment of soft building structures and tactile toys and activities to help our young clients express their emotions and their creativity.

Turning Point Behavioral Health provides mental health care for clients beginning at age six. Approximately 94% of our clients are low-income, coming to us from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Turning Point serves over 1,100 clients annually and approximately 14% of our clients are children and adolescents.  For all of the clients we serve, Turning Point is committed to providing solid support through expert, affordable, and compassionate care.
