Empowered to say yes

Turning Point clients use words like “kind,” “compassionate,” “caring,” “dedicated,” “like family” when they talk about the team members they interact with at Turning Point. Many of them also say they’ve recommended Turning Point to a friend, a family member, or a colleague.

Expertise and Professionalism

Peers and other professionals—social workers, teachers, medical professionals, law enforcement officials, government agencies—who refer individuals to Turning Point remark on our team members’ expertise and professionalism, their commitment to each client’s recovery, and their deep sense of duty and conscience.

Diversity and Inclusion

In both our hiring and staff development practices, we emphasize these qualities. We nurture them through our commitment to diversity and inclusion, making sure that everyone— from the clinical and medical staff to the management and administrative team—feels listened to, valued, and respected.

Rewarding Relationships

We’re candid and transparent in all our relationships. In our dealings with each other, our clients, and our referrers and collaborators, we’re considerate, thoughtful, and empathic.

Most importantly, we empower our team members to say yes—to use their skills and knowledge in the best interest of each client and to improve the quality of life for them, their families, and our entire community in every way we can.

  • Career Growth & Professional Development

Turning Point offers a solid foundation for continuous career growth built on in-depth clinical experience with wide-ranging client types and diagnoses, including the most severe and persistent cases.

These rich, experiential learning opportunities create a great training ground for interns, new graduates, and early-career professionals. In line with our recovery model, we also place great emphasis on training and supervision for our recovery support specialists who have lived their own recovery journeys.

Our methodical, highly regarded internal training programs and consistent, expert supervision of staff-in-training help ensure that team members grow into highly proficient practitioners and at the same time learn how to navigate the complex system of resources, care delivery, and regulations that even seasoned mental health professionals find challenging.

For all staff, we lay a strong foundation for individual team members to develop professionally and to advance in their careers. We invest in robust training programs and career growth opportunities, believing that continuous improvement creates a stronger, more effective Turning Point team.
