LAUNCHING PRIDE CONNECTIONS SUPPORT GROUP
PRIDE CONNECTIONS, a new support group, is being launched by Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center and the National Alliance on Mental Illness – Cook County North Suburban.
PRIDE CONNECTIONS is for adults who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. It will begin on Wednesday, March 27 and continue for 10 weeks through Wednesday, May 29, meeting weekly from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Turning Point.
Participation in this group is free of charge and all identities are welcome. The program has been generously funded by a grant from the Skokie Community Foundation.
The group will be jointly led by a female-identifying Turning Point counselor and a male-identifying NAMI trained facilitator. The group will feature casual community conversations in a safe space.
Advance registration in the group is required. Individuals can register through the NAMI Cook County North Suburban website HERE.
