To our colleagues and community,
I know that we are all paying very close attention to health news, hoping that the novel COVID-19 virus situation will be resolved quickly. It is an issue of grave concern for all of us, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
Please be assured that we at Turning Point are paying close attention to updates from our excellent Skokie Department of Health, the State of Illinois and our local healthcare providers. We have met with our staff to make plans to support our clients and families should circumstances dictate closing or reducing our services in any way. Tomorrow, we will have a town hall meeting so that staff and clients can receive information and ask questions of our Department of Health staff and we’ll continue to stay alert to any changes, all the while looking forward to good news.
In the meantime, we are urging one another to keep well – exercise, sleep, eat healthy foods and yes – wash our hands. This situation is very difficult but it also brings opportunities to care for and serve one another. We are dedicated to both initiatives.
With every good wish for your health –
Ann Fisher Raney, LCSW
