Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Woman’s Club of Evanston, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Join us for a seated luncheon featuring a very special presentation by Shelby Van Pelt, celebrated author of the NYT Bestseller Remarkably Bright Creatures, speaking about her work and the connections between humans, animals, and mental wellness.  Please note our RSVP deadline of Thursday, April 3. Ticket sales are now closed.

We are pleased to be partnering with Evanston’s Bookends & Beginnings and they will have copies of Remarkably Bright Creatures for sale which can be purchased and personally autographed by Shelby Van Pelt (cost not included in luncheon ticket.)

Luncheon Tickets: $125 (ticket sales now closed)

This event is the second of three events in this year’s LIGHTS ON series of fundraising events for Turning Point.  The third and final event will be on June 20 in Skokie. In addition to single $125 tickets for the April 8th luncheon, we are also offering $325 combo tickets for both the April 8th and June 20th events combined. Capacity is limited at both events.

In advance of this April 8th event, there will be two book club discussions taking place about Remarkably Bright Creatures:

  • Tuesday, March 11 at 7 pm at Skokie Public Library – Register HERE
  • Monday, March 24 at 6:30 pm at Evanston Public Library – Register HERE

A few frequently asked questions…. If I have tickets for both the April 8 and June 20 events, may I bring different people to the different events? Yes, absolutely. We will check in with our ticket holders before each event to confirm the names of their guests. Are only women welcome at the Woman’s Club of Evanston? No, all genders are very welcome to attend! How many people will be seated at a table at the luncheon? Tables seat a maximum capacity of 8.  Have other questions? Please don’t hesitate to ask us! You can email Jen Sultz at [email protected].

All proceeds from the event support Turning Point Behavioral Health, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Tax ID 36-2327294. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The excess of your ticket purchase over the fair market value of $35 per person for the luncheon alone and $115 per person for both events combined is a charitable contribution. All sales are final.
