COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUPS

The community support groups program at Turning Point is primarily designed for adults experienceing severe and chronic mental illness.

It provides opportunities for learning, personal growth, therapeutic support, and fellowship within a vibrant and welcoming community. Our groups are not meant to serve as freestanding treatment plans. Rather, they augment therapy and provide daily structure and community support for many levels of ability. Groups are scheduled throughout the week and take place at our Skokie location. Some examples include:

  • self-expression and conversational groups
  • anxiety management and self images groups
  • organic gardening, budgeting, and cooking skills groups
  • therapeutic art, yoga, and music groups
  • community integration and socialization groups
  • and much more.
