Our new Chief Clinical Officer

Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center is pleased to welcome Martina Cortez, MS, LCPC into the position of Chief Clinical Officer.

Tina has served Turning Point in a variety of roles over the past 20 years. From therapist to case manager to her most recent role as Compliance and Staff Development Officer, she has provided exceptional service to the Turning Point community.

Turning Point’s CEO Ann Fisher Raney said, “In so many ways, Tina has exhibited natural leadership throughout her tenure at Turning Point. From expertly serving as our Compliance Officer, to spearheading new innovations like our Open Access project and Academy program, to overseeing our agency's protocols throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Tina has always successfully stepped up to the challenge. Her leadership experience combined with her extensive work as a therapist will serve Tina well as she steps into the critical role of Chief Clinical Officer."

Turning Point congratulates Martina Cortez on her twentieth year with the agency and celebrates her as she enters this new leadership position.

TURNING POINT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE CENTER, established in 1969, is a non-profit outpatient mental health center, serving children and adults, with a mission to provide “solid support, when you need it most.” Each year, Turning Point serves approximately 1,300 children and adults from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, approximately 90% of whom are low income. Located in Skokie and recognized as a leader in innovation and community support, Turning Point was honored with the 2017 Excellence in Mental Health Award from the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health, the 2015 Impact Award for Excellence in Behavioral Healthcare Management from the National Council for Behavioral Health, and the 2017 Public Health Partners of Excellence Award from the Skokie Health Department and Board of Health, in recognition of exceptional contributions to the health of Skokie. Turning Point was recently honored to receive the 2021 Skokie Business of the Year Award.
